Our Academic Leaders were involved in the Pitch Perfect public speaking workshop with Young Leaders Academy. They learnt breathing strategies, strategies for structuring a speech, tips for keeping their audience engaged, as well as getting involved in a variety of different speaking games. It was great to see our students talking with passion and confidence about a variety of topics and supporting their peers through any nerves using the strategies that they had learnt. It was great to see both quiet and confident boys having a go at public speaking in front of the group, and hopefully you will see the boys contributing and presenting in class with greater self- awareness in the coming weeks.

Who Is Eligible To Deliver The YLA Awards?
Are You Eligible?
All educational establishments and community groups are eligible to deliver our Awards – that includes international establishments.
So if you’re a independent or community school, sixth form, college or youth organisation, you are automatically eligible to deliver the Young Leaders Academy Awards.

Which Age Groups?
It depends on the Award, however the minimum age is 8 years old (Grade 2 / Year 4). Please use the guide below but check individual Awards for clarification.

With our online Learning Centre, delivering a Young Leaders Academy Award is now easier then ever.
It’s a simple and effective process that makes delivering our Awards sustainable. Plus each member of your staff that delivers an Award gets free training and support.

Accreditation
Our Awards are quality assured and accredited by Open Awards, an OFQUAL registered accreditation authority in the UK.
Each Young Leaders Academy Award carries the nationally recognised Badge Of Excellence quality assurance.
Our Awards will form an important part of your School Improvement Plan by showing how you are actively bringing about positive change and improving pupil outcomes.
Every student who achieves a Young Leaders Academy Award receives a digital certificate issued by us. Printed certificates can also be sent for a small fee.
Assessment
To ensure the integrity of our Awards a 10% sample of your students Learner Records will be assessed by our Quality Assurance team before the issuance of certificates.

Pricing
To access and deliver our Awards learner fees (also known as licenses) must be settled in advance of your delivery start date.
To ensure everything is done in a timely matter without delays, please send your Purchase Order number and finance team details when requested.Â
There is a minimum of 10 learners and no upper limit.
- 10 Learners = £100 per Learner
- 11-30 Learners = £85 per Learner
- 31-100 Learners = £70 per Learner
- 100+ Learners = Please enquire
The Awards emphasize teamwork, communication, and responsibility, with an array of modules that teach essential skills such as session planning, event management, and behavioural guidance. The children are able to develop their confidence, self esteem, communication, problem solving skills, creativity skills, teamwork skills and conflict resolution skills.

Are they (children) being clear, concise and coherent in their communication? We have been using the Pitch Perfect program since last year and continue this year with 30+ students. It gives us a clear framework to work to.
