I am delighted to say that in 2022 we are one of the highest-performing schools in the country (UK).
Our Academic Leaders were involved in a public speaking workshop yesterday with Pitch Perfect: Young Leaders Academy.
They learnt breathing strategies, strategies for structuring a speech, tips for keeping their audience engaged, as well as getting involved in a variety of different speaking games.
It was great to see our students talking with passion and confidence about a variety of topics and supporting their peers through any nerves using the strategies that they had learnt.
It was great to see both quiet and confident boys having a go at public speaking in front of the group, and hopefully you will see the boys contributing and presenting in class with greater self- awareness in the coming weeks.

Online Public Speaking Course
We transferred all of our 14+ years of public speaking knowledge and know-how in to a very special online course so anyone can access it from any internet connected device anywhere in the world.
Students will work through 7 modules taking them from understanding fear and anxiety all the way through to their final Masterpiece Speech.
Each course has full teacher resources included so any teacher can run the program without any prior public speaking knowledge.
The program also includes a monitoring and management tool that provides administration duties like password resets, student progress, points and markings and certificate issuing.
Each Masterpiece Speech will also be externally moderated by our team of professionals who will provide feedback, recommendations and next-steps.

A recent APPG report (All Party Parliamentary Group) stated that the speech and development of children has been dramatically affected due to lockdown.

Most of our partner schools use the program from Years 3 upwards. Pitch Perfect Level One is a great introduction to public speaking for Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils (ages 8 to 13).

How Does It Work?
Pitch Perfect Public Speaking Level One is a great introduction to oracy and public speaking. It develops your pupils key leadership skills and helps them become confident communicators.
The program is accessible through an online portal with full teacher resources making this a very effective, sustainable and comprehensive program. It can be run over a half or full term and includes:
